What is CX3? 

Communities of Excellence in Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Obesity Prevention.

Nutrition:

  • HEAL Curriculum

                    Healthy Eating Active Living

  • Access and Consumption of Fruits and Vegetables

Physical Activity:

  • Access and Safety

Obesity Prevention

  • 70% of adults in the High Desert self-report being obese or overweight.

Free Zumba Classes

May contain: human, person, shoe, apparel, footwear, clothing, leisure activities, dance pose, and flooring

DAYS:  Wednesdays and Fridays
TIME:  9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
PLACE:  During the summer months, Zumba will be held at the 
Lime Street Park, 16292 Lime Street

No registration required.  Show up ready to work out and have FUN!

 

 

CX3 is implemented by program assistants and community outreach workers with St. Mary Medical Center, Healthy Communities Department and is a program developed by the California Department of Public Health.  They are monitored by the San Bernardino County Department of Public Health, Nutrition Education and Obesity Prevention (NEOP) Branch.  NEOP assists with choosing their target neighborhoods.
