PART TIME RECREATION ATTENDANT

A Step - $14.00 per hour

Under direction, the part time Recreation Attendant shall perform a wide variety of duties involving youth and adult sports programs, facilities, events, activities, maintenance, and other related duties with the Recreation District.

Experience in recreation/sports activities, knowledge of sports rules, and experience in customer service is desirable.  Take and pass a medical exam if requested.  Undergo and clear fingerprinting and a background check as a prerequisite of employment.

FULL TIME CUSTODIAL COORDINATOR

A Step $14.43 to E Step $17.58 per hour.
Pay Increase for F/Y 2021-2022 under current review.

The Custodial Coordinator, under direction of the Administrative Operations Manager - Parks, coordinates all aspects of custodial operations, provides responsible assistance in an assigned District department, and performs a wide variety of duties involving facilities, events, activities, and other related duties. Benefit package includes: Retirement, Medical, Dental, Vision, Sick Leave, Vacation Time, and Holiday Pay.

High School graduate or equivalent.  Any combination of experience and education equal to two years of recreation, maintenance, and/or clerical experience.  Pass fingerprint and background screening and possess valid CA Driver License.

PART TIME LAKE STORE SERVICE PROVIDER

A Step - $14.25 per hour

Under direction, the Lake Store Service Provider shall perform a wide variety of duties involving the successful daily operation of the Hesperia Lake store including sales operation, fishing, day use, camping, programs, facilities, events, activities, maintenance, and other related duties within the Recreation Division.

Experience and Education:  High School graduate or equivalent.  Must be 18 years of age or older.  Retail experience is preferred.

Must possess a valid California Driver License, and produce a DMV printout of driving record upon request.  Take and pass a medical exam if requested.  Undergo and clear fingerprinting and a background check as a prerequisite of employment.

PART TIME SEASONAL LIFEGUARD

A Step - $14.50 per hour

Under direction, the Part Time Seasonal Lifeguard shall perform a wide variety of duties involving aquatics programs, facilities, events, activities, maintenance, and other related duties with the District.

Experience and Education:

  1. Must be at least 15 years of age.
  2. American Red Cross Lifeguarding Training.
  3. American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED.
  4. American Red Cross First Aid for Public Safety Personnel (Title 22) - may be obtained once hired, but required before scheduled to lifeguard.
  5. Experience in aquatic programs is desirable.
